During the revolution, the Palace of Prince Adipati Mangkubumi was used as a hiding place for expedition fighters I (Rahadi Usman CS) from 1946-1949.
Especially from fighters outside the area who will continue their journey to West Kalimantan and South Kalimantan through people's houses.
According to information from some of the heirs, traditional houses in Kotawaringin, especially those in Pangkalan Bun City, have almost the same shape as the traditional building in Kotawaringin Lama.
It seems that the role of Kyai Gede who comes from Java (Demak) is very influential in the concept of making houses in this area.
Maybe before you have read about historical tourism in the Kotawaringin Lama area such as Astana Alnursari or Kyai Gede Mosque which is one of the important figures in the spread of Islam.
Especially the spread of Islam in the Land of Kotawaringin and he came from Demak, Java Island.
