Prince Mangkubumi Palace is a house located in Raja Village, Pangkalan Bun, South Arut sub-district, West Kotawaringin Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. Mangkubumi Palace is located on Pakunegara street, not too far from the city center. This palace was built around 1850, with a stage shape and using the main supporting structure made of ironwood, such as floors, walls, poles, and roofs. This palace is also the home of Prince Adipati Mangkubumi, son-in-law of Prince Ratu Anum Kesumayuda, Sultan XI of the Kingdom of Kotawaringin (Kutaringin) which was established in 1865-1904.

Prince Mangkubumi Palace has a number of rooms containing various historical objects. This traditional house consists of 5 buildings, namely the main building, the reception, the waiter's residence, the front, and the kitchen and warehouse. There is also the Bath of Putri Tujuh, which is part of the palace with carved ornaments in the form of golden yellow, red, and green on the door. Therefore, this historical place is very guarded and preserved by the surrounding community, to keep the beauty and cleanliness of the Prince Mangkubumi Palace.

The pavilion building with the shape of a limasan roof from elongated ulin fins. The entrance to the pavilion faces west. The pavilion building has a terrace and ascending staircase facing north. The pillars on the stairs and equipment in front of the pendodo building are unique at the top which is shaped like a diamond or gemstone. The south side of the Mangkubumi Palace pavilion building, the garden and the entrance to the pavilion building are on the south side. The back side or the east side of the main building of Mangkubumi Palace.

During the revolution, the Palace of Prince Adipati Mangkubumi was used as a hiding place for expedition fighters I (Rahadi Usman CS) from 1946-1949.

Especially from fighters outside the area who will continue their journey to West Kalimantan and South Kalimantan through people's houses.

According to information from some of the heirs, traditional houses in Kotawaringin, especially those in Pangkalan Bun City, have almost the same shape as the traditional building in Kotawaringin Lama.

It seems that the role of Kyai Gede who comes from Java (Demak) is very influential in the concept of making houses in this area.

Maybe before you have read about historical tourism in the Kotawaringin Lama area such as Astana Alnursari or Kyai Gede Mosque which is one of the important figures in the spread of Islam.

Especially the spread of Islam in the Land of Kotawaringin and he came from Demak, Java Island.
