Arthritis of the Hand
Arthritis of the hand is a degenerative condition, where chronic inflammation of the small joints in the hand can lead to the weakening and wear and tear of the joints, resulting in swelling, pain and stiffness and limiting your performance in daily tasks. These symptoms can worsen with forceful and repetitive hand use in everyday activities.
While having hand arthritis can be disabling and affect your ability to perform daily tasks effectively, this condition can be self-managed in the early onset of symptoms through strategies like activity modification and joint protection.
