Crafting your Masterpiece day. Here we get clarity on what a good day is and how a good day is made up of small decisions that aggregate and compound over time which eventually make up your life.
First lets look at what a good day is. This is a quote from James Clear in his book Atomic Habits.
“The difference between a good day and a bad day is often a few productive and healthy choices made at decisive moments. Each one is like a fork in the road, and these choices stack up throughout the day and can ultimately lead to very different outcomes.” James Clear Atomic Habits
He has this picture in his book and it is a beautiful visualization of what a good day looks like.
He explains that there are moments throughout our day that deliver outsized rewards and we would be wise to identify and take advantage of as many of them as possible.
Now lets follow this idea further down the road and see where it leads.
As we do we will begin to see that each decision is a subset of each day, each day a subset of each week, each week is a subset of each month and add 12 months and you get a year and years, how ever many of them God has blessed us with, make up our life time.
I believe this example illustrates quite nicely how to go from theory to action. It also demonstrates value that this course will bring you will be exponential to the time and energy you spend doing the lessons and the workbook.
Now the exercise for this lesson:
Spend some time right now and see if you can identity any decisive moments that will have an outsized impact on your day.
