We went to Ruthin Castle Hotel in north wales for our Anniversary celebrations and shot this video during the visit. On the way we also went to the Cliff Railway at Bridgnorth which has a one of a kind steep railway system.
The railway operates two cars on parallel tracks. Connected by steel ropes, the carriages serve to counterbalance each other – as one rises to the top station, the other runs to the bottom station. The cars are now powered by an electric winding engine, but were originally driven by a system of water balance, each carriage carrying water ballast in a tank beneath the passenger compartment.
we stayed at 'The Prince of Wales Suite' in Ruthin Castle Hotel. The Prince of Wales is the largest and most individual 'bed chamber' here at the Castle – occupying the whole floor of a tower & named in recognition of our historic connections with the title 'Prince of Wales'.
