How to Apply for a CREDIT CARD using your Net Banking Account?
In this video I talk about how you can apply for a brand new CREDIT CARD using your internet banking account?
Some things that you should keep in mind:
1. Carefully read and understand all terms and conditions before applying for a credit card. Don't apply haphazardly without understanding the terms and conditions of a credit card.
2. You need to tell your employment type in truth to your bank. Employment type can be either housewife, self-employed, salaried, businessman/businesswoman etc. Depending on your employment type the bank may ask you to produce some additional documents.
3. Carefully read about all the features of a credit card that your bank is offering you. Don't apply for a credit card without reading/understanding all its features.
4. Enter your full name which you'd like to emboss on your credit card. Also you are required to enter your 10 digit Indian Mobile number - This number will be linked with your credit card account and all transaction/billing related messages will be delivered to this number only.
5. You need to tell your bank your resident type. Resident type can be either rented, owned by self/spouse etc. In certain cases the bank may ask you to provide additional documents like rental agreement, electricity bill, telephone bill etc.
6. You need to enter your delivery address where you'd like to receive your new credit card.
7. As per your own requirement, enable/disable international usage on your credit card. If you enable international usage, then you can use your credit card on international ATM/POS/foreign websites (PayPal etc.). In case you opt to disable international usage, then your credit card can only be used domestically i.e. within India/on Indian Websites.
8. Your bank may ask you to upload your identity proof, residence proof, Income proof and your passport size photograph. Make sure that you have an e-copy of your Aadhar card, PAN Card, Driving license, Voter ID card, previous year ITR. salary slips etc. saved on your computer's hard drive.
9. The bank will provide you with a reference number once you have successfully submitted your card application. With this reference number you can track the status of your application online OR you can contact your bank for any information related to your credit card.
10. Once you receive your credit card, you need to set/generate your 4 digit PIN for it.
11. Always pay your credit card dues. DON'T default on payments.
