Minor Arcana Tarot Cards Meaning of Four Suits & Elements: Part 2
How does Water, Fire, Earth and Air shape the Tarot? Continuing on from my part 1 video, here I look a little deeper into the mystery of the elements and Tarot. The elements are the foundation of the Minor Arcana and help give specific meaning to each of the Suits. As you discover your connection with the Tarot I encourage you to explore and create a personal connection with each of the elements and suits. You may also find it useful to reflect on the corresponding Astrology sign for each element. Refer to my part 1 video for more explanation.
There are four classic elements earth, fire, water and air - each with its own energy and symbolic essence. The water element- Suit of Cups - is fluid, flowing, emotions, intuition, love, feelings, relationships, connections, compassion, kindness, empathy and so forth. The Fire element - Suit of Wands - is unpredictable, passionate, energetic, strength, enthusiasm, sexuality, will power, drive, go-getter attitude, competition, ego personal energy and so forth. The Earth element - Suit of Pentacles - is tactile, tangible, manifestation, grounded, stable, fertility, finances, work, physical wellbeing, career, everything of this physical existence. The Air element - Suit of Swords - is movement, power, the unseen, the intangible, think about the wind and its power its importance in life. Air how we breathe, we speak, we communicate, our mind, our mental activity, our perceptions, judgement, guilt, anger, verbal, thoughts, attitude, beliefs, and so forth.
