How to use the Photoshop liquify tool to fix mistakes on your art work or photos. In this example I use the poor eye placement in my painting to demonstrate how the liquify option can be quite effective for moving things ( in this case, the right eye was too high so I lowered it with one quick and easy 'drag' in the liquify window )
I tried to keep this one really basic for beginners, more to show you the use of the liquify tool, and where to find it in Photoshop. As mentioned in the video, this is generally better to do in the sketching phase of your illustration, as it can distort things a bit, but as you can see in my example, it can work at any point. The more you move things and play around with this too, it will start to be visible though, so don't rely on it too much.
Unfortunately you have to merge the layers like shown in the video, if you want to move everything at once. Alternatively you would have to repeat the steps on each layer you want the change on. I have looked into some other options that will effect each layer, such as the 'smart object' method, but I haven't found an effective way to make that work yet.
Let me know what other tutorials you guys want to see in the future :)
