EXCLUSIVE: All-female team of prosecutors tackling DC's toughest crimes
Some of the most horrific crimes - sexual abuse of children and child pornography - require a very specialized group of investigators and eventually, prosecutors to try and put offenders behind bars so they can't hurt children anymore.
Now, we are getting rare access to the top Assistant U.S. Attorneys who are taking on these cases for a story you'll see only on 7News.
This all-women team of prosecutors might just have some of the toughest jobs the court system has to offer. Even, in a place like Washington, D.C. And they didn't just get assigned it. They asked for it.
“Raise your hand if you sought out this job," I asked them recently in a sit-down interview at D.C.'s U.S. Attorney's Office.
All of them raised their hands instantly.
