The aftermath of the battle in the temple of Urgathoa takes most of the night, transporting the sick to the neutral warehouse and taking stock of the temple and it's goods. By the time the early morning sun is rising over Korvosa they see activity at the Citadel and see the Field Marshal issuing commands to Verik and a couple members of his team. They are pleased with the rescue of Ruan and the Field Marshal looks haggard.
She goes on to tell the Heroes of Sandpoint of a harrowing event in the presence of the Queen and suggests they escape town before the Queen learns of their involvement at the temple. She suggests they slip out of town before the Queen gets wise to them. At this point Orik tells the group that he will be joining his brother Verik, Ishani, Grau and Ruan in Strike Force, looking into the situation developing in Old Korvosa. He wishes them well.
The Heroes of Sandpoint use the distraction of a mass battle in the skies between the Korvosan Imp population and the House Drakes to escape the city. Their travels take them to Harse and then Janderhoff, where they re-equip and fully plan for their trek to Turtleback Ferry.
On the road to Turtleback Ferry their camp is accosted by a group of ogres and they learn something of the local ogre population from a charmed ogre.
Upon first arrival at Turtleback Ferry they are greeted somewhat coldly but secure reasonable lodgings. They learn something of the locals from a stablehand and gambler who bore the tattoo of the Sihedron on his back. They learned more from the head priest of Erastil Maelin Shreed about the sinking of the Paradise, the month of rains and the missing rangers at Fort Rannick. They spend the rest of the evening preparing to head north along the Skull River the next morning.
