There we go, I got the US and the UK spelling of tyre into the title. Because I'm equal opportunities.
When I was a kid it was Bridgestone and Goodyear. Then Michelin came along, now it's Pirelli and the red and yellow branding is plastered everywhere now as Pirelli sponsors events as well as supplies to them. Which is odd, when you think about it. But if it's there in the contract, then they have to, I guess.
But the tender is out there now for potentially it all to change. But given the way the drivers criticise Pirelli's offerings, is it time to change or is it a case of it'll be like this no matter the brand? Let's have a look.
