The 1994 was a season of tragedy and carnage. Drivers missing races through injury, two drivers killed, and three missing races because of being 'naughty bois'.

But towards the end of the season it seemed everyone was moving around. Mansell in at Williams, Herbert off to Ligier, then Herbert off to Benetton, while the back of grid teams seemed to be picking up any old pay driver to make sure they survived. 14 teams using 46 drivers. Only four teams kept the same lineup all year.
