The Hades Gates humbuckers add a little extra heat to the unique PAF pickups found in the Billy Gibbon’s coveted ‘59 Les Paul.
The Reverend’s signature sound is carried over but with slightly more Texas heat than the Pearly Gates humbucker set. The neck and bridge hover around 8k and 8.9k which helps retain that mid forward tone while providing extra output to help cut through the mix and push your favorite tube amp into creamy overdrive. Both pickups remain incredibly clear and dynamic, one of the features that sets PAF style pickups apart from designs from designs in the 70s and 80s.
