• Hayao Miyazaki's thoughts on an artif... - while some may argue that this interview has better lines about miyazaki being disgusted by cgi, I think that the demonstration the programmers showed him is one of the worst that they could’ve shown. Like how you going to present this gory type of demonstration to a dude who writes soulful hand drawn animated series about life and imagination and expect him to enjoy it, knowing his background? So you could interpret his lines of cgi being disgusting and an insult to life itself because of their choice of demonstration, not necessarily (though not counting it out as well) to the use of cgi as a whole. That’s why I used the lines after they said they want to make ai do what it’s doing now in 2022/2023 and that’s when he said humans are losing faith in themselves.
• Hayao Miyazaki: The Future of Animation - segment from an interview in the oscars as to why he disabled the cgi department. I think the tech at that time wasn’t advanced enough and it takes more time to correct rather than to just draw it from the beginning
