Hey artlings! 🥰 was my UGEE S1060 screenless drawing tablet Review? I think ugee read my mind because I told myself I was going to upgrade my 2011 wacom tablet after I finished a tutorial (unreleased) on procreate so that I can save my arms and neck HAHA. Lo and behold, PR from UGEE! (Not sponsored but free package) 💪Thanks so much, whether they offered or not I was going to go hunting for a screenless tablet but since this has SIZE, PRESSURE SENSITIVITY, and SHORTCUTS. Guys 14 shortcuts was such a game changer (I used to only have 4) I didn’t know and I think that’s what also sets this tablet apart from competitors. Anyways, I hope this was a fair review, but I really am the target audience for this since this current set up is what I am going to use until I can get monitors and maybe a screen tablet for my laptop ( but I might just get an ipad instead).

Alright this tablet is ranging from 2.3k php to 3.1k php, BUT there are many options on the market and range of this type of tablet, INCLUDING their 6.4 in of their s-series which might be good enough for most of our beginners. What sets the S-series from Ugee apart is that there are 14 shortcuts (there might be more idk how to access the category functions yet) and the pen pressure. This can be a very cost efficient option, you just have to search even if it is not this particular brand. Even though this is like 3k pesos, since my next upgrade will be color accurate monitors or an ipad pro, this 3k pesos is worth it to hold me over, especially if it lasts a few years. And I can do most things a screen tablet can…for less money?! AND it’s MORE ergonomic, so I save my neck, my back, and my arms. So for the win, I want you beginner artlings to know that this is an option, you don’t need to have thousands of dollars to start ( other than your main device.)

If 10 in is too big or expensive try their 6.4 in!! I’m assuming the tech is the same in all of the S-Series but I honestly haven’t tried it.

OTHER NOTES: 🗒️
As I said, lots of this video isn’t just s1060 specific, the benefits can still be found in other digital tablets though I think something that makes the s1060 STAND APART is the size and the 14 short cuts! I didn’t realize how much shortcuts could make the experience more comfortable, but especially for my set up it was great.
I thought I would prefer the shortcuts to be on the lefthand side so i wouldn’t have to drape my arm over my drawing space, but I didn’t notice inconvenience. I think its because the tablet isn’t touch screen (can’t be converted to a huge touchpad) but it works out.
One other glitch they updated the control panel so I had to uninstall and reinstall since I thought it stopped working but they didn’t tell me it needed to get upgraded? Like it just didn’t open ln day but worked fine after the reinstall.
Other than the small glitches I am really satisfied. Even then, those are kinda nitpicky and or have happened with other tablets. The only thing left to test here is if the tablet will live for 10+ years like my wacom bamboo 2011 did. (which is $88 now btw!!)
