[text and step by step tutorial with pictures on http://asianoble.co] (updates from 2019 users below)

I recently bought a new laptop and reinstalled all my previous programs. I had a bit of trouble with Photoshop and Manga Studio, but there are a multitude of threads already dedicated to solving those. I wanted to contribute to the open community of Krita (which is by the way completely FREE to download and use - I'll probably write a review later.)

After poring through multiple forums on KDE, I was finally able to solve my pressure sensitivity problems through the help of user 'timotimo' on this thread (https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f....

The problem:

Pressure sensitivity works everywhere else except on Krita
I can't find the settings for fixing pressure sensitivity anywhere!

This solution works if you have:

updated drivers on your Windows computer
updated drivers on your tablet
an actual pen tablet with pressure sensitivity
the latest version of Krita

My solution has worked for both my Microsoft Surface Pro 2 (Windows 8) and my laptop running Windows 10. My tablet is a Wacom Intuos Pro.

UPDATE:
Some great comments from users that might help:
u/villa2111 "if you are using this in 2019 like me you can search for "pressure" and then its "use pen pressure"

u/Kookie's SugaDaddy "if you can’t find the pressure usage after restarting look for “use pen pressure” so go to ‘u’ instead of ‘p’ then move it to the other side. When you press apply then it should look like the girl’s where you can turn on and off on the side."
