Are you looking for team building ideas? This is a great exercise to do with people who don’t know each other yet. They get to know stories about each other’s lives, which will help them form bonds. This exercise can be used as a fun energizer to start the day with. 🆙

Do you like this exercise? Let’s give these variations a try:
1. You can also let the participants tell one long story instead of three short ones. In this case, the story starts as a true story, but slowly develops into a story that’s not true. When the story has finished, one by one, the participants guess at what point the story became fictional. The people who guessed correctly earn a point. One by one each person tells a story. The person with in the end the most correct guesses is the winner.
2. Instead of letting people tell two real stories and one fictional story, you can instruct them to tell two fictional stories and one real story. The team has to guess which story is the real one. Again, the people who guessed correctly earn a point. The one with the most points in the end is the winner.
