Hi, This is Vi Adkins of ForemostResumes.com. In this tutorial I'm going to show you how to take a red colored, or themed sales postcard in PowerPoint 2010 and convert it into a blue colored or themes sales postcard. In order to download this red themed sales postcard, go to my website at ForemostResumes.com and you can download the file from there. In Part 1 of my Sales Postcard Video Tutorials, I show you how to go to the website and download this file.

Now I have the file open in PowerPoint 2010, and the 1st thing I want to do is change the background image, which is a .jpg file, into an image that is blue. I select the background image by clicking on it and then press the Delete key. That removes the red image. Go to the Insert tab at the top of the screen, click on Picture, and navigate on my hard drive to the blue background image. Select the file and then press the Insert button. PowerPoint places the new, blue background image in the front, or top layer of the document. I need to send this image backwards, to the bottom layer of the document. Click the down arrow beside the Send Backward button on the Picture Tools tab. Select Send To Back from the drop down menu. That places the background image behind all of the text.

Now I need to convert all of the text in the sales postcard from red to blue filled text. Select the top block of text and put my mouse over the edge / border of the text block and click - changing the border from a dotted to a solid line. Under the Drawing Tools tab at the top of the screen, click on Format. Select the down arrow next to the Text Fill button. Click on More Fill Colors. On the Custom tab in the Colors window, enter these values - Red: 26, Green 22, Blue 105. Click OK to close the Colors window. The text in the text box has now been changed to blue. Now choose both the 2nd and 3rd blocks of text below by clicking on each while holding down the Shift key. Again, choose the down arrow next to the Text Fill button, and you will see the blue used above under Recent Colors. Select that blue by clicking on it. Change the "Visit foremostresumes.com" text color the same way.

To change the text color for the bullets, select all of the bulleted text with the mouse. Click the down arrow next to the Text Fill button, and select the blue under Recent Colors. Notice that the bullet images are still red. These need to be changed to the blue color also. With the bullet text still selected, right click, and in the contextual menu that opens, select the arrow to the right of Bullets, and choose Bullets and Numbering. In the Bullets and Numbering window that opens, click the down arrow next to Color, and choose the blue under Recent Colors.

At the bottom of the sales postcard, the Foremost Resumes business name is an image. To delete it, click on the image and press the Delete key. Also select the logo pen image and delete it. To insert different pictures, select the Insert tab at the top of the screen, click on Picture, and navigate to the new company name image called Main Streaming. Using the mouse move the image to the bottom of the postcard. Resize the image so it fits by selecting the left top corner tab while holding down the Shift key. Use the arrow keys to move the image precisely where you want it. Insert the blue logo image using the same method. Both of the images at the bottom of the post card can be downloaded from my website at www.ForemostResumes.com
