Hi, This is Vi Adkins of www.ForemostResumes.com. In this screencast I'm going to show how to change the properties, also known as meta data, using the Documents Panel using Microsoft Word 2010. I have a new Microsoft Word document open on my desktop and I've inserted some placeholder text. I'm on the Home tab at the top left of the screen. I need to go to the File taband make sure you're on the Info selection in the left column. On the right side of the screen are the properties for the document that I want to change.

To do that, select the down arrow by the word Properties at the top of the meta data and click on Show Document Panel. That returns you to the Home tab and opens the Document Panel at the top of the screen. In this panel you can change any of the document properties that you want. I'm going to make a few changes to the meta data. I'm going to remove 1 of the authors, change the Title to Resume Writer and Cover Letters, keep the same Subject, change the Keywords to Cover Letters and Resumes, change the Category from Resumes to Resumes and Cover Letters, leave the Status unchanged, and the Comments unchanged.

Now go back to the File tab and you can see that the Properties on the right side of the screen have been changed. I'm going to Save the document - which returns me to the Home tab automatically. To close the Document Panel, click on the X on the right side of the panel.
