EOMONTH Function is date function in Excel that returns the last day of a month from a given date. This function takes two arguments: one as the date and another as an integer for the number of months preceding or succeeding your reference date. The output is in date format.
This example explains on how to use EOMONTH function for a simple problem whereby a array of dates are given in one column and the number of months exceeding (positive integers) or preceding (negative integers) the date. The EOMONTH( ) function in the corresponding column returns the end of the month for the reference date as dictated by the number of months specified in the second.
