This video demonstrates how to connect and start multiple disk-less computers using the My sCool Server. In this video, one can learn how to setup a demo network to boot computers via the MSS. Thus it is possible for anyone to easily get started with the My sCool Server. Do note that the computers with the MSS work as "fat-clients" as opposed to the "thin-client" setup that one is used to in such server-client computing.

Similarly, one can scale this model and setup a complete functional computer lab by following these very simple steps. The My sCool Server is known to power up to 70 disk-less computers simultaneously.

A neatly done network setup in a school may look similar to the one in this pic - https://photos.app.goo.gl/s9A9tiK4wGA...

Herein are some pics of fully functional labs powered by the MSS -

The steps to connect and boot the client computers using the MSS :
Components required to setup a lab with MSS are
Network switch (recommended Gigabit i.e. 1000 Mbps with no. of ports = 1 + no. of client computes),
Crossover ethernet cables (Cat 5e or Cat 6, 1 x no. of client computers + 1 for MSS)
The My sCool Server device
Client computer(s) (minimum recommended conf - Dual Core + 2 GB RAM + ethernet port, no HDD)

Let’s start connecting...
Connect one end of an ethernet cable to switch
Connect the other end to the MSS
Take another ethernet cable and connect one end to an empty slot in the switch
Connect the other end of this cable to the ethernet slot on the client computer
Likewise connect all client computers to the switch

Next, enable the client computers to boot from the wired network
Generally, the BIOS/Setup can be accessed by pressing ‘Del’ or ‘F2’ at the very beginning of the boot sequence in most systems
Demo of BIOS on a Legacy system
-- Locate the Boot Menu settings and enable Network Boot option if it is not already enabled
-- Choose the Network Boot option as the first priority in the boot sequence (If the option is not visible, save and reboot again into the BIOS after the previous step)
-- Press F10 or equivalent key as per your BIOS to save the settings
Demo of UEFI BIOS on a recent laptop
-- Switch Secure Boot - OFF, UEFI boot mode - OFF, Legacy boot mode - ON
-- Turn on network boot and set it as first priority in the boot sequence
Refer to your system motherboard’s manual to perform the necessary steps, if the above do not match

Finally, let’s power on the MSS and boot the client systems
Power up the network switch by connecting to a standard AC socket
Next connect the MSS to the AC power via its adaptor
Turn on the MSS by gently pressing the power button
You shall see the blue LED
While the MSS starts let’s connect the laptop that we had earlier configured to network boot
After 40 to 50 secs the MSS has completely started

We are now ready to boot the client computers
Finally, we power on the two client computers
Both systems are at the login prompt in less than 50 seconds and are ready to use
