This week, we bid a fond farewell to Vincent Namatjira’s P.P.F. (Past-Present-Future).
Vincent’s work first adorned our foyer wall in May 2021. It was the seventh work to do so as part of our Circular Quay Foyer Wall Commission series. It’s going down now to make way for the next Foyer Wall work. Vincent Namatjira is the second Aboriginal artist commissioned for this series. The first was Daniel Boyd in 2014. The 15m x 7m mural, an assertion of First Nations identity, sovereignty and pride, was featured for 1020 days.
Or 24,480 hours. Or 146,880 minutes. Or 88,128,000 seconds.
P.P.F. (Past-Present-Future) has been viewed by 1,169,226 visitors, 65,766 in 2024 alone.
