13-A Practicing Throw Escapes (Recommended Rank: 1st Dan or above)
The Basic way to defend against throws is to stop them before they happen, using a striking attack.
But if you try a guaranteed throw move and your opponent blocks it, you are completely vulnerable to their throw, and the only way to avoid taking damage is to use a throw escape.
Right after you do the guaranteed throw move, enter the throw escape command. This gives you the chance to get out of the throw, even after a guaranteed throw move.
13-B Using multiple throw escapes (recommended rank: 5th Dan or above)
You need to enter different commands to escape from different throws, so you need to try to predict which throw the opponent will use.
But some characters have several powerful throws, which makes it difficult to predict which throw will be used. This is where multiple throw escapes become very useful.
In this game, any and all throw escape commands that you enter within the input window will be recognised
So when your opponent throws you, if you can quickly enter P+G, 6P+G and 2P+G…
You will be able to get out of three different throws--P+G, 6P+G and 2P+G.
If you try a guaranteed throw move and your opponent blocks it, you can also use the recovery time after your attack to enter throw escape commands, giving you even more chances to get out of the throw.
