In this video you will learn the Network Architecture and Its types in Hindi.
Network architecture: - Network architecture generally refers to design of computer network. It is physical and logical design of the software, hardware, protocols, and media of the transmission of data. Simply we can say that how computers are organised and how tasks are allocated to the computer.
Important Terms:-
1. Host:- A host is a computer or other device connected to a computer network.
2. Client:- A client is a piece of computer hardware or software that accesses a service made available by a server.
3. Server:- A server is a computer program or device that provides a service to another computer program and its user, also known as the client.
4. Peer:- A peer is any device that participates in a network and has the same functionality as one or more devices in the network.
Types Of Network Architecture:-
1. Peer-to-Peer Architecture:- Peer-to-Peer network is also known as Point to Point Network. In Peer-to-Peer network all the computers are linked together with equal privilege and responsibilities for processing the data. In Peer-to-Peer Network, Each and every node can do both request and respond for the services.
Advantages of Peer-to-Peer Architecture:-:-
1. It is less costly as it does not contain any dedicated server.
2. If one computer stops working but, other computers will not stop working.
3. It is easy to set up and maintain as each computer manages itself.
Disadvantages of Peer-to-Peer Architecture:-:
1.In the case of Peer-To-Peer network, it does not contain the centralized system . Therefore, it cannot back up the data as the data is different in different locations.
2. It has a security issue as the device is managed itself.
2.Client/Server network Architecture:-
Client/Server network is also known as Request - Response Network. In client/server architecture there is a centralized and powerful host computer commonly known as server and all other hosts are clients.
In the client/Server network, the system through which other systems are connected is called Server. The server controls all the devices in the network, and all other devices are called clients.
Advantages of Client/Server network:
1. A Client/Server network contains the centralized system. Therefore we can back up the data easily.
2. Security is better in Client/Server network.
3. In Client/Server network, the entire system is maintained by the server. 4. It also increases the speed of the sharing resources.
Disadvantages of Client/Server network:-
1. Client/Server network is expensive as it requires Network Operating System (NOS )to provide the resources to the clients, but the cost of NOS is very high.
2. It requires a dedicated network administrator to manage all the resources.
3. Mainframe Architecture :-In Mainframe architecture data/services are stored on a single host which is called mainframe. All hosts are connected to this mainframe which are called terminals. These terminals are dumb and do not perform any task themselves. These Terminals are used only for input and output.
