EasyLog Tutorial | Getting Started - Connecting a WiFi Data Logger to the EasyLog Cloud

In this video I will show you how to set-up your device on the EasyLog Cloud, once you’ve set up your EasyLog Cloud account.
Start by opening up the WiFi sensor software. If you haven't downloaded this yet you can find it at www.easylogcloud.com. Once downloaded, sign into your EasyLog Cloud account and then click “Set-Up Device on the Cloud”.
You will be presented with two options. Set up your device ‘On The Cloud’ or ‘On This PC’. The PC-based account allows you to connect devices and view them using a single host PC on the same WiFi network as your loggers. Although this option is free, this will restrict you to viewing data on that one PC only and without email alarm functionality. However, if this is acceptable to you, choose this option and follow the on-screen instructions. For the purposes of this video, we will continue to set up a device on the EasyLog Cloud.
The software will prompt you to physically connect your WiFi device to the PC using the supplied USB cable. Once it has successfully found the device, it will then scan for WiFi networks and display those WiFi networks it can locate in the vicinity of the PC and sensor. Choose the network you would like to connect the logger to and enter the password if required. You can choose to show the actual characters of the password if you wish or for the software to remember the password typed.
If you can’t find the wireless network you are after, click the refresh button on the right and it will scan for networks again. If you have a fixed IP address, select Enter Advanced Network Options and click next, having chosen your network and entered your password. This will take you to a new page where you can enter those details. For the purposes of this video, I will assume that the logger is being set up on a standard WiFi network.
Having connected to the WiFi network, you can now name your device. The settings you see here are default settings and you change these once the logger is set-up on the cloud. Click next to save your device to the EasyLog Cloud. You can now disconnect your logger from the PC. To go to the EasyLog Cloud you can either click the link at the bottom of page or click finish which will take you back to the menu and then “view devices on the cloud”. This will launch the EasyLog Cloud in your browser.
