Learning to Fall
“Failure is a tool for success.” Rebecca Goeckeritz was paralyzed in an auto-pedestrian accident when she was fifteen months old. She shares a unique story from her childhood when she was asked by physical therapists to use braces rather than a wheelchair. To have confidence she could always get herself back up, Becca and her mother practiced falling on walks near their home. Through scrapes and tears Becca learned that it was ok to fail at times. But if she kept trying, she could be successful in whatever she desired.
