In 1889, a small academy was founded by the Weber Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ogden, Utah. In 1933 Weber Stake Academy was a made a state college and over the years outgrew its downtown campus and moved to an impressive site on the foothills of the Wasatch mountains. Great Oaks From Small Acorns Grow was produced to celebrate Weber State University's 125th anniversary and shares challenging events of the school's beginnings and the stories of individuals who helped the school grow and inspire students over the years.
