Applying the Toyota Production System (TPS/Lean) to Software Engineering: A Static Code Analysis Example

TPS has been vital for Toyota to achieve the highest quality vehicles while increasing its productivity. The principles can be derived from software engineering through Agile principles and can be applied concretely to different software engineering activities. In this talk, we will focus on software code verification using static code analysis techniques as an example of applying these techniques throughout the development lifecycle and how using them in the 'Toyota way' enables higher software quality and increased developer productivity.
