During the 24 Heures de Spa-Francorchamps, Wim Boshuis’s car’s half-shaft would break and his car would spin onto the middle of the track then he would be T-boned by another driver killing Boshuis instantly, later on in the race Alain Peltier, would hit debris left after the crash and slam into the guard rail, then somersault, a piece of the guard rail would then decapitate a young marshal, Michel Wilmet, another marshal Desnaril would suffer a fractured wrist.
