During the Course de Côte d'Aix en Provence à Saint Antonin sur Bayon, Bernard-Etienne Grobot would lose control of his Ford Escort Cosworth, and hit a huge rock, his car went airborne then crashed into a small wall where he flipped multiple times, and came to rest in a field not far from the road, Bernard-Etienne Grobot was seriously injured and died on hour later.
