In this, the first video in my mini series on Linux essentials, I cover what I believe are the most useful things to know when using the Linux CLI.
I outline the course briefly, and then delve into some basics to get the ball rolling, including what a shell actually is, and where it get's its functionality from.
Having been using Linux for 10 years, I have come to realise what is worth knowing, and what isn't. I'm hoping this video series will help cut through some of the noise and help Linux beginners get up to speed as quickly as possible.
