To manage Exchange Online via PowerShell, the preferred method should be using the new Exchange Online Management v2 module from the PowerShell Gallery. These new EXO cmdlets are being updated frequently with new features, options, and support for additional authentication methods.
In this video you will install ExchangeOnlineManagement via the PSGallery and test your connectivity via PowerShell. The only prerequisites to this are Windows PowerShell 5.1, as the PowerShell Core (7+) version is presently under development.
