Half Life Alyx is without a question the best game that has been made for VR so far. While the original game is exceptional, the amount of community made mods add hours and hours of additional game play and give reason for players to come back again and again for more. Typically modding a game requires an individual to “jump through a ton of hoops” to do so however Valve has made modding Half Life Alyx SUPER easy to do through their Workshop in your Steam Library. In this video I show how to navigate to the Workshop in your Steam library (it's super easy by the way) and browse and Subscribe to different addons (mods) there. I then show how to enable and play those addons in Half Life Alyx. There are mods that change the skins of the enemies, your guns and even change your guns to completely different weapons. There are additional levels and other game modes too. One of the more popular mods in the workshop is called Return to Rapture which is a remake of the very popular 2007 game, Bioshock. There are also remade levels from the classic Nintendo 64 (N64) game Goldeneye 007, a Minecraft themed level and many, many others. My personal favorite is Gunman Contracts which has you trying to rescue a woman who has been taken captive by a gang of human traffickers. It's basically John Wick in VR. It's pretty intense but a whole lot of fun. Anyway, that's enough jibber jabbering, let's get to the video. :)
