My sweet and dear Babushka,
I hope you are feeling better now. I awfully like the doll you gave me. Mama gave me a watch strap of just the same color. We were at Vera’s yesterday and played with her, and the Christmas tree was lit up. I have to write a lot now to thank everyone for the presents. I got a lot of books for Christmas. ... A couple of days ago, we were at the Convoy’s Christmas Party at the Manege, it was a lot of fun. Yesterday we were at the Sappers’ parade, it was their hundredth jubilee, and afterwards we four went with Mama to the Invalids’ Home to give out presents to the ill. We were at the Nanny School today and it was very good. I wish you all the very, very best. Kissing you firmly
