🔍 Part 40: Adding Notches Along a Curve.
To add a notch to a curved line such as the armhole and sleeve.
Mark a notch on the armhole using the line tool. Click on the notch location and input 1cm length and 0 angle.
Next, cut the armhole at the notch point and the underarm line and open document info. Remember the measurement.
Next, cut the sleeve head at the underarm point and sleeve head then click stroke and tick dashed line. Add the measurement of the curved armhole to the first box and 1cm to the second box. Change the direction of the measurement, if necessary, by clicking object, path, Reverse path direction.
Next, click on the end of the dash using the line tool. Enter 1cm and add the angle.
Finally, select the sleeve pattern and matching notch and click object, group. Do the same for the main pattern and matching notch.
You can now move your patterns and notches as one.
