Here are three original airings of The Jim Henson Hour that aired on NBC in 1989. This contains episodes such as Outer Space/Heartless Giant, Oceans/Lighthouse Island, and First Show/Miss Piggy’s Hollywood. While all the episodes have been archived online, usually uploads of episodes have the commercials trimmed out so here’s an upload that contains commercial breaks so you can get more of the experience of what was like watching these episodes airing on tv back in the day, since there’s no way to go and watch The Jim Henson Hour the same way people did in 1989, in an official way. Especially that the full show itself has never been released on home video due to the Muppet Television Segments, Miss Piggy’s Hollywood, and Secrets of The Muppets are owned by Disney while the specials shown in the second half, and The Storyteller episodes belong to The Jim Henson Company. So unless Disney wants to invest in a home video release of The Jim Henson Hour or at the very least release the stuff they own in that show, it’s unlikely that the show will get an official release in some form anytime soon. Which the closest thing to an official home video release is the DVD on the kermiclownvideos site.
