"VarioLight", a novel "Dynamic Projection Mapping" system combines two key technologies. "Lumipen"(Type 1) is a high-speed optical axis controller, which enables a wide range motion of a target with sufficient projection resolution, but has restrictions on shape and deformation of the target due to slow projectors. "DynaFlash"(Type 2) is a high-speed/low-latency projector, which allows dynamic rotation/deformation of the target, but has a trade-off between resolution and angle of projection. "VarioLight"(Type 3) effectively exploits the advantages of the two previous systems; it realizes both a spatially wide range and small rotation/deformation with sufficient projection resolution. We can dynamically dance around a stage and perform acrobatics with projection mapping.
