💡 What is HDR Light Studio? 💡
HDR Light Studio lets you easily create and edit HDR lighting (HDRI maps & HDR Area Lights) for your existing 3D software and renderer. It has plug-ins for 3ds Max, Blender, Cinema 4D, DeltaGen, Houdini, Maya, MODO, Octane Standalone, Omniverse, Patchwork 3D, Rhino, SOLIDWORKS Visualize & VRED.
What's New?
Scrim Lights
HDR Light Studio 8 introduces a new game-changing digital light type called a Scrim Light. This feature emulates real-life studio lighting set-ups, enabling 3D artists to light their 3D models in the same way as directing a professional photoshoot. Scrim Lights make it possible to produce delicate and stunning lighting effects that are challenging to replicate using conventional digital methods.
Enhanced LightPaint Tools
With the introduction of HDR Light Studio 8, the LightPaint system has undergone significant enhancements. Each Render View now includes its own LightPaint mode drop-down, as does the Canvas. Users can now manipulate many more light properties directly in the Render View/Canvas, such as brightness, scale, rotation, and even light placement within the Scrim Light.
