Scrim Lights Come to CGI - Tutorial

Scrim lighting is a well-established technique among professional photographers, however, it's relatively unknown to most 3D artists because up until now it was almost impossible to re-create.
Scrim lighting was recently added in HDR Light Studio 8, a lighting software with plugins available for your 3D software. This unlocks the possibility of scrim lighting in all 3D software that is compatible with HDR Light Studio 8, expanding the range of creative lighting techniques.
HDR Light Studio 8 works with 3ds Max, Blender, Cinema 4D, DeltaGen, Houdini, Maya, MODO, Octane Standalone, Omniverse, Patchwork 3D, Rhino, SOLIDWORKS Visualize & VRED.
