Position Shadows & Shades in your 3D Scenes
In this tutorial, you'll learn how to easily position shadows and shades in your 3D scenes. Just click on your 3D render, and the light will be placed where needed to create shadows or shades on the clicked surface. Thanks to the latest features added in HDR Light Studio 8.2, all this becomes possible. You can add the HDR Light Studio plugin to your 3D software, and you'll have access to this specialized lighting interface - compatible with:
3ds Max, Blender, Cinema 4D, DeltaGen, Houdini, Maya, MODO, Octane Standalone, Omniverse, Patchwork 3D, Rhino, SOLIDWORKS Visualize, VRED, Unreal Engine 5.
Placing shadows and shades is achieved through the LightPaint feature in HDR Light Studio. LightPaint is a feature in HDR Light Studio that allows users to interactively place lights and adjust their properties (scale, brightness, position etc) directly on the rendered image in real-time. In HDR Light Studio 8.2, there are two new ways to position lights called Shadow and Shade LightPaint methods. These join the existing Reflection, Rim, and Illumination LightPaint methods.
