Cissy Wellman played Sissy Walker who married Yancy Tucker (Robert Donner) on the beloved television series The Waltons. She is an actress and director known for Outlaw Josey Wales (1976), The Waltons (1973-1976) Made Men (1999) FM (1978). Since 2009 Cissy has been working with The Born To Act Players (BTAP) ages 21 to 45 with Down Syndrome, Autism and Special Abilities.they have been meeting once a week since 1995. They act, sing, dance and do improv work. BTAP puts on 2 shows a year and are a non- profit...they are her passion. On this episode of our series Cissy shares stories about her iconic father, William Wellman, director of classic films such as the original A Star is Born. What is was like directing legends like James Cagney, John Wayne, Clark Gable. Cissy talks about growing up on the sets of her father's movies and the family life on their farm. She also shares with us what she has been up to lately since she joined Jim last on The Jim Masters Show Live.
Cissy also starred in THE MANSION for Amazon XOXO and MANSION OF BLOOD with Gary Busey and Portrait of Love for the Hallmark Channel. Cissy was a series regular on GENERAL HOSPITAL, lead dancer on The ANDY WILLIAMS SHOW and ERNIE FORD CHRISTMAS SPECIAL. She starred on The WALTONS for 5 years and on the TV SHOWS, My Three sons (recurring role) , she guest starred on Jane Doe, Charlies Angels, Hart to Hart, Chips, Quincy, New Love American style; Love Boat. She's appeared in over 40 films, including OUTLAW JOSEY WALES, MADE MEN, Lifetime and Hallmark channel movies and many others. Cissy's theatrical experience includes, A best supporting award for PACK OF LIES," and rave review in ALL THE KING’S MEN; GROWING PAINS AND MANY OTHERS. She wrote the original play, THE JAZZMAN, directed the short film, THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS and a COCA COLA spec commercial. Cissy's also a professional singer and Jazz dancer. She's also a member of BORN TO ACT PLAYERS.
