This video is the fifth part of the heritability estimation series. The method discussed in this video is the intraclass correlation between half sibs to estimate heritability. This method is also called heritability estimation through Analysis of Variance or ANOVA. The intraclass correlation method is used to estimate narrow sense heritability, and it is based on the resemblance between full sibs or half sibs. You can use this method to calculate heritability if you have phenotypic data on the sibs and known pedigree. An example of the calculation of heritability using the intraclass correlation between half sibs is also discussed in this video.
