“And do all your chickens lay an egg every day?” This is one of the most common questions people ask me when they find out we have chickens.
If we observe the chickens, we can see that they visit the nest at different times. Some lay their eggs within a few minutes and go on their way. Others sit much longer and even come back after a while to guard the eggs.
We installed a wildlife camera over our chicken's favorite nest and were able to observe not only the chickens but also some nocturnal visitors over the course of about 24 hours.
