An unlicensed 15-year-old male was driving eastbound on Scripps Poway Parkway when, for an unknown reason, he crashed into a traffic light. The Ford Bronco immediately caught on fire with the boy inside.
2 Good Samaritans ran over to the crash and pulled the kid out of the burning car. The 15-year-old suffered a compound fracture to a femur and was transported to a local hospital for his major injury.
Eastbound Scripps Poway Parkway is closed at Scripps Highland Dr for investigation.

A 15-year-old male was driving a gray 2024 Ford Branco eastbound on 10550 Scripps Poway Parkway. For an unknown reason, he made an unsafe movement to the right and struck a streetlight traffic pole. The driver
sustained an open fracture to his right femur. The injuries are non-life threatening. Traffic units responded and will be handling.
