The male driver of the black sedan crashed for an unknown reason while heading west on Hwy 94. This crash may have been with another driver in a jeep that left the scene.
After he crashed, a second driver crashed into the first car, and he went across the freeway to the left shoulder and was then hit by a 3rd car. A woman in the white Chevy was trapped and had to be extricated by the firefighters. She was transported to a local hospital for her injuries.
Westbound traffic was blocked, and people started to exit the freeway by going the wrong way on the 47th St onramp.
