Folders showing as shortcuts and files missing from drives and external usb drives in Windows 10? You can fix it simply. Right click on Start Button I Control Panel I Appearance and Personalization I File Explorer Options I View I uncheck these two (to disable)
a- Hide empty drives
b- Hide protected operating system files
Now open your drive and delete empty folders. Create a new folder and cut and paste all original folders to the new folder.
