Google Chrome high memory/disk/cpu/disk usage can be fixed easily by these two steps. Step 1: Open google Chrome. Click on the gear icon on the top right. Click on Settings. Click on Performance on the left side bar menus. Scroll down to Speed. Turn off "Preload Pages".
Step 2: Click on System on the left side bar menus in the settings itself. Turn off "continue running background apps when google chrome is closed"
