THROTTLE HOLD function of T12D/T16D Transmitter
Take T16D transmitter as an example.
Enter the main menu--advanced setting--throttle hold.
Throttle hold function is to set the throttle output to a fixed value. When the throttle hold is turned on, the throttle output will jump to the locked position regardless of the current throttle position.
This function is often used in two purpose:
1.To work as throttle cut, which can provide users a easy way to stop the engine, and avoid accidentally operating the throttle joystick. It is often used for helicopters and fixed-wings.
2.To work as cruse control, which is often used for cars and boats.
SWITCH: You can assign a switch to control throttle hold function, such as SWA, SWB, SWC, SWD, SWE, SWF, SWG and SWH. For example, I set it to SWA_DOWN, which means when SWA is pushed down, throttle hold function is turned on. And you can check the state here. Push SWA up, the function is turned off. Push state down, the function is turned ON.
THRO: Fixed output value of the throttle. 50 means the fixed throttle output value is 0%. If you want to set throttle cut function, you can set the value to 50. throttle hold is turned off now, the throttle works well. You can view the throttle servo value here. Then push SWA down to turn on the throttle hold function. The throttle value jump to 0. Move throttle joystick, there is no response, which means the throttle is cut.
You can also set cruise control with it. Adjust the throttle value here. When adjusting it, you can view the throttle value here. You can adjust the value to set the throttle output value you want. For example, I want the model to maintain a constant speed of 40%, I need to set the value to 30.
Push SWA up to turn off the throttle hold function, the throttle works well. Then push SWA down to turn on the throttle hold function. The throttle output value jump to 40% directly.
Move throttle joystick, it will still maintain 40% throttle output, which means cruise control takes effect.
