Tens of thousands of protesters, including families of Israeli captives, waved Israeli flags and chanted slogans against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government in Tel Aviv on Saturday. They demanded new elections and the return of captives held in Gaza. Large protests have been held weekly in the city, criticising Netanyahu’s handling of the nearly nine-month-old war in Gaza, which began after Hamas's October 7 attack on southern Israel.
