Jordanian authorities have announced that the King Hussein (Allenby) Bridge crossing will remain closed until further notice, contrary to earlier expectations of a 10am reopening. At around 9am, passengers arriving in anticipation of the border reopening to return to their homes in the occupied West Bank were turned away. Currently, there are few passengers, vehicles, or buses at the crossing. While the initial plan included reopening all three Jordan-Israel crossings, the status of the northern and southern crossings remains unclear. Palestinians affected by the closure report being stranded and unable to return home.
